At Wessex Pain Clinic, our doctor-led team uses a detailed medical history and physical examination to assess your shoulder’s strength, stability, and range of motion.
We look for tenderness, swelling, or deformities. If necessary, we’ll recommend imaging tests (X-rays, MRI, or ultrasound) to identify soft tissue or bone issues. In some cases, additional diagnostic procedures, such as arthroscopy, may be considered to gain direct insight into joint health.
Injections can help promote physiotherapy, and muscle build up, whilst providing pain relief. Injections targeting the pain carrying nerves (suprascapular nerve injections) often give excellent responses. Other options include corticosteroid injections which address severe inflammation.
Our friendly team is on hand to support you every step of the way. Please get in touch at any time.
